The Cancer Institute team provides personalized, comprehensive care with a multi-disciplinary team.  The Cancer Institute has an oncology certified nurse, registered nurses, nurse navigator, social worker, full time pharmacist and a pharmacy technician.  The Cancer Institute team is able connect their patients with nutrition services, physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy if needed.

An Oncology Nurse works with patients who have, or who are at risk of getting, cancer. Oncology Nurses provide necessary assessments, administer treatments and communicate with all patient care providers to help develop a plan tailored to each patient's needs.

Oncology social workers are licensed professionals who counsel people affected by cancer, providing emotional support and helping people access practical assistance.  Social workers can provide individual counseling, resource navigation, support groups, locate services that help with home care or transportation and connects patients with assistance programs.

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs are actively engaged in all aspects of cancer care—from chemotherapy dose preparation and safety checks, to educating patients about side effects, to drug development research.  In addition, if a patient or caregiver has any questions about a cancer medication, a pharmacist is a helpful resource.

Patient Access Representatives welcome patients, collect information such as patient details, medical history, billing and insurance information.  Patient Access Representatives also help prepare patient admission and discharge documentation and are available to answer patient questions.
