Robotic Surgery

When many people hear the term ‘robotic surgery,’ they imagine a robot operating on them, but that is exactly the opposite of what happens. The advantages of our robotic surgical system include:

Minimally invasive surgery: Hannibal Regional uses the da Vinci® surgical system, which combines four arms to hold instruments, a camera for increased visualization and a module for your surgeon. Your doctor is always fully in control of the robot, but the added benefits of using all of this combined technology makes a huge difference in terms of recovery and pain.

3-D imaging: The da Vinci® surgical system offers advanced imaging capabilities. We can guide and operate the surgical tools while viewing the entire procedure in high-resolution 3-D images. Thanks to these clearer images, we can remove perform gynecological and general surgery procedures with exceptional precision.

Additional flexibility and maneuverability: The robotic arms provide greater maneuverability and flexibility than a human hand. Our surgeons can perform more complex surgeries with greater precision using the robotics system because of the capability to reach places and remove tissues that traditional minimally invasive techniques cannot.
